On Sunday, an Indian worker lost his life, while three others were injured in a drone strike in the Moscow region. This information was confirmed by the Indian Embassy in Moscow and the Russian Embassy in India.
Representatives from the Indian Embassy visited the scene of the incident and met with the injured at a local hospital.
The Embassy expressed condolences for the loss and mentioned its cooperation with the company and local officials to assist the workers affected.
The embassy refrained from naming the entity responsible for the attack.
Conversely, the Russian Embassy in India pointed fingers at Ukraine, labeling the event as a Ukrainian assault on civilian infrastructure in the Moscow area.
“The Russian Embassy shares its condolences with the family of the deceased Indian worker and offers sympathy to the injured,” the embassy stated.
Initial reports from Russian officials indicated that over 12 individuals were harmed within Moscow, while in the adjacent region, three fatalities and six injuries occurred due to the same attack.
This unfortunate event arises amidst persistent drone attacks and heightened tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with increasing incidents affecting civilian areas and infrastructure in Russia.
