Hinge (4-34) and Hussain (4-24) wreaked havoc on the Rajasthan batting order with sharp bowling as Hyderabad clinched a dominant 57-run win after setting a target of 216-6.
“I mean, witnessing two debutants perform the way they did tonight was a dream scenario for the team,” Aaron remarked to the media.
“From my observations in various tournaments and during practice sessions, I always believed they possessed that X-factor. They bring something special that stands out, especially in times when batsmen are attacking fiercely.
“… My only request before the match was that if they weren’t enjoying themselves, I would be quite upset — and they truly relished the moment. We all did.”
Hinge captured three wickets in the first over, including rising star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, India wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel, and South African batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius.
This achievement made Hinge the first bowler in IPL history to claim three wickets in the opening over of a match.
“Ultimately, all praise goes to Praful (Hinge) for having the confidence to dismiss Vaibhav. He said, I’ve taken Vaibhav’s wicket before, and I’m going to do it today,” Aaron noted.
The win marked Hyderabad’s second victory in five matches, elevating them to fourth place in the standings.
They will next compete against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, while the top-ranked Rajasthan will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
