Throughout his visit, Misri met with Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State and Special Envoy for India, along with Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and CEO of Mubadala Investment Company.
In his discussions with Reem Al Hashimy, both parties reviewed the advances made on agreements established during the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s trip to India in January 2026 and the visit by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in February 2026.
They evaluated ongoing collaborations across vital sectors, including trade, investment, economic cooperation, energy, connectivity, defense and security, fintech, health, education, culture, and interpersonal relations. This review built upon the results from the 16th Joint Commission Meeting and the 5th Strategic Dialogue co-chaired by India’s External Affairs Minister and the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in December 2025. Additionally, both sides pinpointed new initiatives aimed at further enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The parties exchanged insights regarding the current situation in the West Asia region as well as other regional and global matters of shared concern.
During this visit, the Foreign Secretary also took part in a trilateral meeting under the India–France–UAE framework, alongside Reem Al Hashimy and Martin Briens, Secretary General of France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. The three nations reaffirmed their dedication to the trilateral partnership and consented to a structured roadmap with specified timelines.
