Previously, the government announced that this incident had been reported to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).
CERT-In serves as the national primary agency for managing computer security incidents.
”We are examining the situation surrounding that issue. However, in terms of commercial impact, it appears that both entities involved are largely reassured that they have not suffered any significant losses… they do not seem overly concerned about that. This is the understanding we’ve gathered from those involved,” IT Secretary S Krishnan told reporters on Monday.

Krishnan’s remarks follow reports indicating that a ransomware group, which allegedly hacked Tata Electronics, posted details about components and suppliers, including photos of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro model, on the dark web.
