Epsilon India Enhances Efficiency Using AI, Achieves Increased Output with the Same Workforce at Bengaluru Tech Center

AI Update: OpenAI's IPO Plans, Microsoft-Anthropic Chip Discussions, and Changes in Kerala's AI Ministry
Epsilon, the tech and marketing services division of Publicis Groupe, is achieving significantly more with approximately the same workforce as AI boosts productivity in software development and operations, stated its India managing director, Pratik Nath, on Friday.

Multinational corporations expanding their offshore tech centers in India to encompass functions such as software development, finance, cybersecurity, and R&D are utilizing AI to stay competitive, as the technology disrupts traditional business models worldwide.

Epsilon India, which has nearly 3,000 employees in the Bengaluru tech hub, has experienced a convergence of software development, engineering, and operations, accelerating code generation.
”What has changed is the volume of work we are delivering and the new responsibilities we have taken on,” Nath told Reuters.

”We are capable of achieving significantly more with our existing team due to the capabilities that AI offers.”

While it is ”a bit early” to determine if AI-driven productivity improvements have decreased backlogs, the company is witnessing proactive collaboration and enhanced prioritization of projects linked to business value, Nath noted.

He also mentioned that the firm has observed AI-fueled reductions in the time needed to resolve technical support tickets and a faster rollout of loyalty offers through self-service tools.

Strong foundations established by global centers over the years will continue to facilitate greater intellectual property creation and registration in the country, the executive remarked.

”Companies are no longer establishing GCCs solely for cost advantages; they are pursuing more outcomes and value,” Nath explained.

”The transition from now to next could be a choke point for some if they do not lead in AI adoption; it could be a turning point for those who are at the forefront.”
