EMS secures ₹209 crore sewer projects in Varanasi as the lowest bidder.

EMS Ltd has been declared the lowest bidder (L-1) for two sewerage infrastructure projects in Varanasi, awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban) on Friday, April 17, with a total order value of approximately ₹208.6 crore (excluding GST), based on an exchange filing.

The initial contract, estimated at about ₹143.8 crore, includes surveying, soil testing, design, and laying down sewer networks along with household connections across five wards: Durgakund, Nariyan, Sarainandan, Jolha Northan, and Bhelupur, as part of a larger initiative covering 18 problematic wards within Nagar Nigam, Varanasi.

The second project, valued at around ₹64.8 crore, involves similar tasks in Hukulganj and Nai Basti wards, along with the establishment of a 23 MLD sewage pumping station.

Both projects are domestic turnkey contracts expected to be completed within 24 months and 18 months, respectively. The company stated that the contracts were awarded under standard terms, with no involvement from promoters or related parties, as noted in its regulatory filing.

On Friday, April 17, shares of EMS Ltd closed slightly higher at ₹345.65 on the NSE.
