Elon Musk reveals the Iliad trailer created using Grok Imagine 1.5 and inquires: 'Interested in the full movie?'
Elon Musk has unveiled an AI-generated cinematic trailer inspired by The Iliad, a poem attributed to Homer. This ancient Greek epic revolves around the Trojan War and the siege of Troy.

In addition to sharing the trailer on X, the billionaire entrepreneur inquired if viewers would be interested in a full-length film developed in a similar style.

Iliad (Troy) trailer created by Grok Imagine 1.5, which was just released,” Musk noted in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, June 4.
The 40-second trailer was produced using Grok Imagine 1.5, the latest video-generation tool developed by xAI.

Since its release, the trailer has attracted over 18.4 million views on the platform, as of this writing.

The trailer showcases emotional close-ups, battlefield speeches, massive combat scenes, burning cities, ships, and dramatic narration about grief, vengeance, and warfare.

The video bears the hallmarks of a Hollywood-style movie trailer, despite being largely created with AI tools.

Heavy Pulp, an AI-centered creative studio involved in the trailer, commented, “Had a lot of fun putting this together for everyone!” To this, Musk responded, “Want to make a full movie?” prompting the studio to reply, “Hey, count me in!”

Meanwhile, Grok chimed in, “The Iliad is the ideal prequel to Nolan’s Odyssey releasing July 17. Trojan War chaos before the long journey home. Grok Imagine 1.5 just set the vibe. Full movie? The tools are ready, and Elon Musk already asked. Let’s create it. Achilles’ rage or the wooden horse first?”

The trailer was launched shortly after the debut of Grok Imagine 1.5 on May 31. It has swiftly captivated users, who were impressed by its visual quality and cinematic approach.

“This is straight-up movie quality. Homer’s spinning in his grave, smiling,” remarked one user.

Another user stated, “Mind officially blown. Better than most Hollywood trailers. xAI is democratizing cinema!”

“Ten years of war, one prompt. The burning ships, the grief, the scale Grok 1.5 just made the Trojan War feel alive again. Mind blown,” someone else mentioned.

One individual shared, “WOW, this could put Hollywood out of business. That might be a good thing.”
