According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, The Walt Disney Company is poised to eliminate approximately 1,000 jobs in the upcoming weeks, largely within its marketing division. These plans were reportedly in motion prior to Josh D’Amaro taking on the role of CEO in March.

It is expected that these cuts will affect fewer than 1% of Disney’s total workforce. As of the end of fiscal year 2025, Disney had around 231,000 employees.
