Cockroach Janta Party Leader Abhijeet Dipke Responds to Delhi Police Approval for Protest: 'Proceed Directly to Jantar Mantar'
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), arrived at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday for a planned protest calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged national examination irregularities.

After clearing immigration upon his return from the United States, Dipke confirmed that the Delhi Police had approved the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The CJP then directed supporters to proceed straight to the protest site rather than gathering at the Parliament Street Police Station as initially arranged.

Expressing his excitement for the protests on Saturday morning, Dipke urged protesters to bring a book and the national flag to the demonstration. He had previously invited students and supporters to participate in the peaceful protest against perceived faults in the examination system.

Security measures have been intensified throughout the national capital in anticipation of the protest. The Delhi Police has deployed approximately 2,000 officers across the New Delhi district to prevent any conflicts and maintain order.

Furthermore, additional security provisions have been established outside the residences of prominent political figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The protest occurs amidst ongoing criticism of the Ministry of Education concerning the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and complaints about the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) on-screen marking (OSM) system used for evaluating Class 12 board examination papers.

Will Sonam Wangchuk join?

59-year-old activist Sonam Wangchuk from Ladakh, who was detained for six months after his arrest during major protests advocating for regional autonomy, is also anticipated to participate in the protest.

In a post on X, Wangchuk urged the movement to remain peaceful and encouraged participants to stay alert against any attempts to disrupt the event.

He stated, “HOPE FOR THE BEST, PREPARE FOR THE WORST. Let’s aim to make this the most peaceful movement in India’s history. Please ensure that no troublemakers cause disruptions. See you all in Delhi tomorrow…”

Cockroach Janta Party’s spokesperson

The Cockroach Janta Party has recently announced three spokesperson appointments to represent the movement publicly and in the media.

Investigative journalist Saurav Das has been named chief spokesperson, while political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya and IIT Kanpur alumnus Ashutosh Ranka have also been appointed as spokespersons.

The CJP emerged from remarks made by Chief Justice Surya Kant during a court session, in which he likened unemployed youth with fake law degrees to ‘cockroaches.’ This statement ignited widespread online discussion and ultimately led to the establishment of this satirical political movement.
