Many of these posters, displaying the phrase ‘PAY2TMC,’ have surfaced in various areas of the city, particularly near the Chandni Chowk Metro station, according to a video shared by Anand Bazar Patrika.
Each poster includes a QR code that, when scanned, leads users to information regarding alleged corruption occurring under the leadership of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government. Additionally, it presents the BJP’s chargesheet and major commitments right on the user’s phone.
The posters are strategically located in busy areas such as markets, bus stops, and metro stations. They are styled similarly to QR codes commonly seen at retail outlets for digital payments through apps like Paytm or Google Pay.
The poster features an image of Mamata Banerjee alongside the party’s MP Abhishek Banerjee, with a prominent QR code positioned in the center. Accompanying this is a message that reads, “Be it ration or a job… scan.”

The messaging on these posters asserts that individuals must pay “cut money” to access essential services such as rations and employment. Below this claim, there is a prompt urging onlookers to scan the code for further details.
Upon scanning, the QR code unveils a series of allegations laid out by the BJP. These include assertions about the cancellation of 26,000 jobs, lost opportunities for the impoverished due to corruption, and companies exiting the state. One line notably states, “From Maheshtala to Mothabari, no more excesses.”
Residents have remarked that the posters captured their interest due to their unique format. “I don’t typically encounter something like this, so I scanned it out of curiosity,” shared a local.
Shopkeepers in the vicinity expressed uncertainty about who placed the posters or when they were installed. “They weren’t here when we shut the shop at night. We have no idea who put them up,” stated a shop employee.
