Bengaluru Traffic Update: Major Roads Blocked for PM Modi's Visit—Routes to Steer Clear Of
Traffic flow will be limited in various parts of Bengaluru on Sunday, May 10, due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The Bengaluru Traffic Police has released a comprehensive advisory detailing road closures, parking restrictions, and alternative routes around HAL Airport and NICE Road.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to attend a public event near HAL Airport and subsequently participate in the 45th anniversary celebration at the Art of Living International Centre.

As per the traffic advisory, restrictions will be enforced from 5 am to 3 pm in regions under the jurisdiction of HAL Traffic Police Station. Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys ahead of time and steer clear of the affected areas whenever possible.
Which Roads Will Be Closed Today?

The movement of all vehicle types will be temporarily halted on HAL Airport Exit Road from Old Airport Road to the DGCA Office on both sides.

There will also be traffic restrictions on HAL Airport Gate 30 Road between Umbrella Junction and Gate No. 30 on both sides.

Furthermore, traffic controls will be implemented on NICE Road between Sompura Cloverleaf Junction and Kanakapura Road from 9 am to 3 pm.

Authorities indicated that drivers should avoid these routes during the restriction hours to minimize delays and congestion.

Parking Banned on Key Bengaluru Roads

Parking has been restricted on several sections near HAL Airport for the duration of the visit.

The no-parking zones include:

  • Old Airport Road from SD Road Junction to Trinity Junction
  • HAL Airport Gate 30 Road from Umbrella Junction to Gate No. 30
  • HAL Airport Exit Road from Old Airport Road to the DGCA Office

Traffic police warned that vehicles parked in restricted zones may be towed and subject to enforcement actions.

Vehicles traveling from Tumakuru Road to Kanakapura Road should take the route via CMTI Junction and Rajkumar Punyabhoomi Road.

Motorists coming from Magadi Road should divert at Sumanahalli Junction.

Those from Mysuru Road can use Nayandahalli Junction and proceed via the Outer Ring Road.

Authorities have also advised commuters bound for Bannerghatta Road to use Harinagara Cross and Jambusavari Dinne Road to avoid congestion near restricted points.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have stated that commuters should adhere to diversion signs and instructions from traffic personnel throughout the day.
