Bajel Projects Ltd, an EPC player in power transmission infrastructure, announced on Wednesday (May 13) that it has secured a significant EPC order for a 400kV transmission line project under the Bellary–Davanagere RE evacuation scheme, awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd through its SPV, Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission Ltd.

This contract is categorized within the ₹200–₹300 crore range of “Major Orders” according to the company’s disclosure framework. It entails the construction of a 400kV (Quad) double-circuit transmission line under the TL-01 package of the Bellary–Davanagere 2nd 400kV line scheme.

The project is part of a renewable energy evacuation system designed to integrate 0.25 GW at Davanagere and 2.75 GW at Bellary into the national grid, featuring a line length of approximately 70 km that connects Bellary Substation to Davanagere Substation.

Bajel Projects indicated that the execution period for this project spans 21 months from the issuance date of the Notification of Award. The company confirmed that this is a domestic EPC contract and noted that neither the promoter, promoter group, nor group companies hold any interest in the awarding entity.
