Anthropic Receives Several Bids Estimating Valuation Over $800 Billion, Anticipating October IPO Launch

Anthropic finalizes tender offer, while employees retain their shares.
Anthropic PBC, a frontrunner in the latest AI revolution, has received numerous proposals from investors aimed at initiating a new funding round that could potentially value the artificial intelligence firm at around $800 billion or more.

As reported by Bloomberg, the creator of Claude has thus far turned down these propositions.

The pre-money valuation of $350 billion, attributed to Anthropic’s $30 billion fundraising in February, would more than double with these offers.
The report indicated that discussions between Anthropic and investors are still in the initial phases, and a deal may not come to fruition, or the details may evolve. Elements of these conversations were previously disclosed by Business Insider. Anthropic has opted not to comment.
Anthropic has introduced various AI solutions aimed at transforming how businesses handle tasks ranging from cybersecurity to coding. An increasing number of commercial clients are responding positively to these products, which is enhancing revenue and ramping up competition with rival OpenAI.

One insider noted that Anthropic hasn’t dismissed the possibility of raising additional funds in the near future, though it remains uncertain whether it will secure investment at an $800 billion valuation or agree to investor terms.

Moreover, Anthropic has expressed intentions to go public as early as October.

The company’s substantial revenue growth has caught the attention of investors, particularly those from affluent industrial sectors. Earlier this month, the firm disclosed that its annual run-rate revenue had reached $30 billion, a notable increase from $19 billion just a few months ago.

Anthropic has drawn attention following a conflict with the US Defence Department regarding the security of its AI tools. Additionally, the firm recently unveiled a new model named Mythos, which it stated would be irresponsible to release freely due to its capability to identify and exploit software vulnerabilities.
