Amazon India is enhancing the capacity of its warehouses and logistics hubs in preparation for Prime Day, scheduled from July 12 to 14. In the lead-up to this event, Amazon has launched five new Fulfilment Centres across the country, boasting a combined capacity of 1.8 million cubic feet — equivalent to the area of 10 cricket fields.

This latest expansion includes the inaugural Amazon Fulfilment Centres in Indore, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, and Rajpura, with the fifth located in the Delhi NCR region.

The addition of these five new Fulfilment Centres complements an existing storage capacity of over 43 million cubic feet across 15 states.
The establishment of these five new centres is part of a larger $233 million investment announced for 2025. This investment will prioritize enhancements in capacity, speed, and efficiency, along with strengthening the last-mile delivery network.

In 2025, Prime Day has been extended from two days to three days, kicking off at midnight on June 12 and concluding at midnight on June 14. Amazon has promised new product offerings from more than 400 Indian and international brands.

Amazon Prime Day is one of the e-commerce giant’s most significant sales events. During Prime Day 2024, there was a 24% increase in Prime memberships, alongside a peak of 24,196 orders per minute.
