Air India launches a 4-day promotional offer for international reservations.
After being in the air for more than eight hours, an Air India flight bound for San Francisco, which had approximately 230 passengers onboard, returned to the national capital due to a technical problem on Wednesday morning, sources reported.

“The aircraft landed safely and will be subject to a technical inspection in accordance with Air India’s safety protocols,” the airline stated in an announcement.

A source indicated that there were roughly 230 passengers aboard the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft.
“Flight AI173 from Delhi to San Francisco on May 27 has returned to Delhi due to a technical issue following established procedures,” the airline mentioned.

Data from the flight-tracking website Flightradar24.com revealed that the plane had been airborne for over eight hours. The aircraft began its return to the national capital after more than three hours in the air while it was in Chinese airspace.

Expressing regret for the inconvenience faced by the passengers, Air India stated it was arranging alternative flights to get them to their destination as soon as possible.

“Meanwhile, our ground teams are providing essential support to the passengers, including refreshments, hotel accommodations, or rescheduling as they prefer,” the airline added.
