Srinagar Airport to Limit Flight Operations from April to July for Runway Repairs
Flight operations at Srinagar International Airport will face restrictions from April to July due to runway maintenance, as announced by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Friday.

As per a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) released by the Indian Air Force, runway work commencing in the first week of April will temporarily limit operational hours for scheduled flights until 5 pm from April 6 to July 31, as indicated by the AAI Srinagar on its official X handle.

Currently, around 60 flight movements (both arrivals and departures) are conducted daily between 8 am and 10 pm at Srinagar airport.
“Although operating hours will be reduced, an increase in flight movements is anticipated in accordance with the DGCA-approved Summer Schedule. Airlines will arrange and operate flights within the new timings,” the AAI stated.

It added that the AAI is dedicated to ensuring safe, efficient, and seamless travel.

“Passengers are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and to avoid relying on unverified information,” it advised.
