Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will officially unveil these curated routes on August 11 at the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. This initiative aims to broaden Delhi’s travel experience beyond iconic sites such as the Red Fort, Purana Qila, Humayun’s Tomb, and India Gate, creating structured routes that connect major places of worship and heritage sites throughout the city.

The new circuits emphasize long-established spiritual centers that are often overlooked in standard tour packages. Key sites included in this initiative are Gurudwara Rakab Ganj, Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib, Jhandewalan Temple, Chhatarpur Temple, Yogmaya Temple, historic Jain temples, and ancient churches.
The four designated circuits outline specific multi-faith and heritage locations across the capital:
Circuit 1: Bangla Sahib, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Agrasen ki Baoli, Lotus Temple, and Akshardham.
Circuit 2: Birla Mandir, Jhandewalan, Jantar Mantar, Jagannath Temple, and Yogmaya Temple.
Circuit 3: Hanuman Mandir, Jain Lal Mandir, Ambedkar Memorial, Purana Qila, and Nizamuddin Dargah.
Circuit 4: Rakab Ganj Sahib, Buddha Temple, Church of Redemption, Mehrauli Archaeological Park, and Chhatarpur Temple.
The Chief Minister stated that these curated routes aim to offer visitors an environmentally friendly, low-carbon way to explore the capital, enhancing the potential for longer visits.
Additionally, on August 11, the state government will conduct an interactive session with tourism stakeholders, including hoteliers, tour operators, and restaurant owners, to discuss operational strategies and visitor engagement. The following day, on August 12, social media influencers and travel content creators will be invited to experience the new routes to support digital outreach.
