The High-Altitude Man-Portable Anti-Drone System (MPADS) is tailored for deployment in rugged and isolated areas where vehicle-mounted systems are impractical, the company stated in an exchange filing.
As per the Hyderabad-based firm, the system integrates radio frequency detection, data fusion, and omni-directional jamming in a mobile setup that can be handled by soldiers or transported via pack animals, all-terrain vehicles, and unmanned ground vehicles.
Zen Technologies mentioned that the system can identify drones from distances up to 5 km, scanning the 400 megahertz to 6 gigahertz frequency spectrum. It also offers omni-directional jamming capability up to 3 km to interfere with drone command links and Global Navigation Satellite System signals.
The platform can detect multiple drones, including swarms, and is designed for continuous operations across various weather conditions.

Integrated command system
The system features the company’s radio frequency-based drone detector, utilizing correlative interferometry and digital beamforming techniques to pinpoint drone directions. It is linked with a Data Fusion and Command Centre that aggregates inputs from multiple sensors, enabling operators to oversee airspace, classify aerial threats, analyze spectrum activity, and enhance operational decision-making.
The defence electronics firm stated that this system has been developed to tackle the growing use of drones in high-altitude and border areas, while also fostering indigenous defence manufacturing.
