The company has partnered with broadcasters, teams, players, commentators, and creators to enrich the experience for users throughout the event.

The updates feature live match scores, engaging discussions, and football communities where fans can express their thoughts and reactions. Meta is also rolling out special experiences and AI-driven tools to help users easily access World Cup news and other related content.
Threads will provide Live Chats with commentators, players, and notable figures such as Sergio Agüero from Argentina and Manchester City, along with England and Arsenal legend Ian Wright, allowing users to participate in conversations before, during, and after matches.

Fans will receive real-time score updates, team badges, football-themed stickers, custom emoji reactions, and curated media highlights. The app will also feature match reminders and essential highlights so users won’t miss out on any action.

Instagram is set to evolve into a central hub for FIFA World Cup 2026 content. A new advanced search function will enable users to locate tournament-related content more easily, leading to a dedicated page with live updates, top Reels, Stories, and posts from official broadcasters, national teams, and fans.

Additionally, Instagram will introduce an AI-driven Goal voice effect in DMs, letting users send playful audio messages that trigger exciting animations.

Facebook has unveiled a Football Model, allowing users to double-tap the Facebook logo to unlock reactions, enjoy a special game, and access a custom app icon. The platform will also incorporate a Wear It AI feature that lets fans virtually try on team jerseys and showcase them as profile pictures, stories, or posts.

WhatsApp has updated the football emoji to represent the official Trionda match ball, developed in cooperation with Adidas. A football-themed calling effect and filters will also be accessible during video calls.

Moreover, special football sticker packs are being launched, along with a dedicated football directory that consolidates teams, scores, highlights, and updates in one place.
