RCB Dominates Delhi Capitals by Nine Wickets, Secures 12 Points on IPL Standings
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) achieved a dominant nine-wicket victory over the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.

RCB reduced DC to 8/6 during the powerplay, delivering a fierce blow with the new ball as Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took seven wickets between them.

Bhuvneshwar made an impact with his second ball, cleaning up debutant Sahil Parakh. Hazlewood then knocked out KL Rahul (1) and Sameer Rizvi (0) with consecutive deliveries.
Bhuvneshwar returned to claim Tristan Stubbs (5), while captain Axar Patel was dismissed for a duck. Delhi collapsed to 8 for 5 and then 9 for 6, virtually ending the match before it truly began. They could manage only one boundary in the powerplay, limping to a score of 13 for 6. Hazlewood concluded the innings by bowling out Porel.

In pursuit of a modest target, Virat Kohli (23) and Jacob Bethell (20) provided RCB with a quick start. Bethell was dismissed by a smart catch from T Natarajan off Jamieson, but Devdutt Padikkal contributed a stylish 34 to complete the chase alongside Kohli.

Kohli clinched victory with back-to-back sixes, culminating in a dominant RCB win and highlighting the unpredictable nature of T20 cricket just days after Delhi had scored 264 against the Punjab Kings.
