An empty local train’s coach derailed near the Dombivli station in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday morning, impacting the busy Mumbai suburban rail network, according to officials.

There were no reported injuries as the train was unstaffed at the time of the incident, as stated by a spokesperson for Central Railway.

The derailment happened at 8:09 AM while the train was en route from Kalwa car shed to Kalyan, as per official reports.
At least three local train services experienced delays due to this disruption, the spokesperson mentioned.

The incident occurred on the main line of the Central Railway’s Mumbai suburban network, connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai with neighboring Thane and Raigad districts.
