BJP leader Smriti Irani communicated a powerful political statement in West Bengal, attracting attention by smoothly transitioning to Bengali during her speech—an approach viewed as a direct appeal to local voters ahead of upcoming elections.

Directly appealing to women, Irani said, “I encourage you not only to vote in substantial numbers but also to take part actively once this 33% reservation law is enacted… If they (Opposition) truly care about the protection, dignity, and political empowerment of women, they ought to endorse the government’s initiatives.”

Concluding her address with confidence, she proclaimed, “The ‘Lotus’ will definitely blossom in Bengal…”
