2026 Commonwealth Games Medal Count: India's Position on the Final Day in Glasgow
India has climbed to fourth place on the medals table during the Commonwealth Games 2026, securing 39 medals in total: 13 gold, 17 silver, and nine bronze, showcasing a remarkable performance across various sports in Glasgow.

The Indian team demonstrated one of its most robust Commonwealth Games campaigns, even with a condensed sporting program, with boxing being the highlighted discipline.

Indian boxers achieved a historic milestone, clinching 10 medals, which included an unprecedented seven gold medals, marking the highest gold tally by any nation in boxing at a single Commonwealth Games edition.


Australia holds a commanding lead at the top of the table with 163 medals (68 gold, 41 silver, and 54 bronze), followed by England in second place with 106 medals. Canada took third place with 59 medals, just ahead of India.

India is a single gold medal ahead of the hosts, Scotland, who rank fifth with 38 medals.

In addition to boxing, India achieved significant success in weightlifting, athletics, judo, and para sports.

Mirabai Chanu made history as the first Indian weightlifter to win three consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medals, while Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh earned India’s first-ever gold medals in judo at the Commonwealth Games.

Athletics also marked impressive milestones, with Gulveer Singh becoming the first Indian athlete to secure two medals at a single Commonwealth Games edition and Tejaswin Shankar winning India’s inaugural decathlon medal. The para athletes also had their best performance at the Commonwealth Games, contributing seven medals, including three golds, as India gears up for another successful multi-sport event ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games, set to be hosted in Ahmedabad.
