“I am thrilled and eagerly anticipating the chance to enjoy the beauty of competing at The Championships, Wimbledon one last time, a venue filled with my fondest memories,” Kvitova expressed.
“While I am still uncertain about my hardcourt season in the US, I intend to conclude my professional playing career at the US Open in New York later this summer.”
At 35 years old, Kvitova achieved a career-high ranking of No. 2 and played a vital role in leading the Czech Republic to six titles in the Fed Cup, now known as the Billie Jean King Cup.
Kvitova last competed at Wimbledon in 2023, and she became a mother for the first time with the birth of her son during last year’s tournament at the All England Club.
Kvitova returned to the WTA Tour in Austin, Texas, in February after a 17-month break from competition and is presently ranked 572nd.
Wimbledon starts on June 30.
