Trump refutes claims of proposing JPMorgan’s Dimon for Federal Reserve chair position.

Trump suggests the US will oversee Venezuela until a secure power transition occurs.

US President Donald Trump criticized The Wall Street Journal for its article claiming he offered JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon the Federal Reserve chairman position. In an extensive social media statement, Trump stated that the accusation was “completely false” and remarked that the publication never reached out to him for confirmation.

He pointed out that the article “claims, without any verification, that I offered Jamie Dimon… the job of Fed Chairman,” emphasizing that “there was never such an offer.” Trump asserted he would have responded with a swift “NO,” which would have put an end to the narrative.

The president also mentioned that the Wall Street Journal implied he proposed the Treasury Secretary position to Dimon. However, Trump dismissed this assertion, stating that the role was already being expertly filled by “Scott Bessent, a TRUE STAR.” He questioned, “Why would I give it to Jamie? No such offer was made or considered.”

Trump additionally accused JPMorgan of “inappropriately and incorrectly DEBANKING me after the January 6th Protest,” revealing his intent to sue the bank in the next two weeks. He reiterated his claim that “The Election was RIGGED,” asserting the protest validated the beliefs of those involved.

In closing, Trump urged the publication to enhance its “fact checking,” cautioning that its reputation would continue to “PLUNGE.”
