Speaking to party members at a state and district-level consultative gathering in Mamallapuram, Vijay declared, “What we are facing now is not merely an election; it is a democratic battle. You are the commanders set to lead this democratic fight,” according to news agency PTI.
He accused the ruling DMK of being an “evil force” and labeled the AIADMK a “corrupt force,” claiming that neither party is fit to govern the state.
“Whether it’s this evil force or that corrupt force, both should not rule Tamil Nadu. Only we have the determination and the spirit to genuinely and boldly oppose such parties,” Vijay stated, per PTI.
‘No compromise’ on political principles
Vijay emphasized that his venture into politics was motivated by a dedication to public welfare and safeguarding Tamil Nadu’s interests.
“We are here to protect the people and the land from anyone intending to cause harm,” he expressed, asserting that TVK would remain true to its ideology regardless of circumstances. “We will never compromise our politics for anyone or anything,” he affirmed.

Vijay also accused both major Dravidian parties of yielding to the BJP — the AIADMK openly and the DMK indirectly.
“The AIADMK has surrendered openly to the BJP, while the DMK has done so indirectly. We do not bow to any pressure. Does this face appear as if it would yield to pressure?” he remarked, according to News18.
He further criticized the DMK for straying from the principles of its founder CN Annadurai.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, he said the party was under pressure but would not capitulate. “We are at a crucial juncture in our political journey. TVK is under no pressure. There’s no room for pressure politics. Is there pressure? Yes, there is,” Vijay added.
Whistle unveiled as party symbol
Vijay asserted that TVK could achieve victory even without forming alliances. “This force of TVK will triumph even if no friendly force (alliance) stands with us,” he stated, as reported by news agency ANI.
During the event, Vijay revealed the party’s symbol — the whistle — and blew it on stage, eliciting cheers from party supporters.
