Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored a stylish 68, while Richa Ghosh added a brisk 34 to help India rise from a shaky position and set a strong target of 170 for six in their ICC T20 World Cup match on Sunday.

Choosing to bat first, India was jolted by the rapid dismissals of Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues.

However, Mandhana, whose fifty was reached in 44 balls, partnered with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (36) for a remarkable 91-run stand for the fourth wicket, pulling India out of trouble.
Richa (34 off 17 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six) unleashed some powerful shots late in the innings as India surpassed the 150-run threshold.

Brief scores: India: 170/6 (Smriti Mandhana 68, Harmanpreet Kaur 36, Richa Ghosh 34) vs Pakistan.
