Siddaramaiah and DKS Face Off: Congress Leadership to Determine Karnataka Chief Minister Dispute, States Kharge.

I'll Remain in Politics as Long as I Have the Support of the People: Siddaramaiah
In the midst of the ongoing conflict regarding the Karnataka chief ministership, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the high command will convene to make a decision on the matter.

Kharge remarked, “I will call everyone to discuss this. Rahul Gandhi will also be present in the discussion. Other members will also attend. The CM and Dy CM will be there as well. A decision will be reached after consulting with all of them. There is a team involved. I am not acting alone. The entire high command team will engage in discussions and make a resolution.”

With the Congress government in the state reaching the halfway mark of its five-year term on November 20, the internal power struggle within the party has escalated over a potential leadership change, with some claiming an alleged “power-sharing” agreement between Chief Minister D Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in 2023.
In the midst of the controversy, Siddaramaiah stated, “If the high command calls, I will go to Delhi.”

Congress leader Rashid Alvi emphasized that Kharge should address this matter swiftly, stating, “Every political party faces such difficulties. We are aware of the situation regarding Vasundhara Raje in Rajasthan. Our focus is on Karnataka. The leader of the Congress party is not Rahul Gandhi, but rather Mallikarjun Kharge; he should resolve this matter promptly.”

State Minister Priyank Kharge asserted that there are no issues within the party. “They (BJP) can claim whatever they want. Why are they so concerned? We are here to tackle public issues. We are the elected government. There are no matters to resolve,” he stated.
