Samsung unveils 3D display without glasses, emphasizes AI-driven smart retail and home integration.

Samsung aims to create a cohesive AI experience across all its products and services, says new Co-CEO.
On Friday, April 17, Samsung unveiled a range of artificial intelligence-driven enterprise solutions aimed at transforming physical spaces, including retail shops and bank branches, into interconnected, data-oriented environments.

The event took place at its Business Experience Studio in Gurugram, featuring a variety of displays, software tools, and connected devices to demonstrate the deployment of these systems in commercial settings.

Glasses-free 3D display takes centre stage
A standout feature was the launch of “Spatial Signage,” a glasses-free 3D display tailored for commercial use. This innovative technology merges standard 2D visuals with depth effects to deliver an immersive experience without the need for special eyewear.

The 2.15-meter display boasts 4K resolution in a vertical format and is driven by Samsung’s processing engine, which enhances colour mapping, dynamic contrast, and upscaling. It is designed with an anti-glare panel and a slim profile, making it ideal for high-traffic environments like retail locations and bank branches.

AI driven by usage patterns

Samsung highlighted that its AI ecosystem focuses on personalisation, enabling devices to learn from daily usage habits and adjust accordingly.

For example, in a smart home setup, an air conditioner can evaluate room temperature, humidity, and user preferences over time to optimize cooling automatically. The system continually evolves based on user interactions, the company noted.

Expanding AI in everyday living

The company also discussed potential AI applications in healthcare and assisted living. Samsung mentioned that its systems can track user activity patterns for approximately 21 days to establish baseline behaviours.

Should any unusual activity be detected—such as minimal interaction with connected devices like refrigerators, air conditioners, or washing machines—the system can issue alerts. This feature, Samsung explained, can assist in monitoring elderly family members, especially in urban households where caregivers may not always be available.

Additional functionalities include location tracking and medication reminders, aimed at enhancing daily health management.

AI tools for businesses

From an enterprise standpoint, Samsung introduced its content and device management platform, Samsung VXT, which enables businesses to remotely control and update displays across various locations.

The AI Studio tool allows for the transformation of static visuals into 3D-ready content through user prompts, simplifying the content creation process and reducing time complexity.

Demonstrated use cases included dynamic promotions for retail settings and queue management systems for banking environments.

Security and connected ecosystem

Samsung assured that its solutions are reinforced by Samsung Knox, providing enterprise-level security across devices and networks.

The showcase also emphasized interoperability within Samsung’s ecosystem, facilitating connected experiences across appliances, displays, and mobile devices.
