RailTel Corporation secures ₹53 crore deal for IT disaster recovery systems.
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a telecom infrastructure company, announced on Wednesday (June 17) that it has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Director IT for a domestic contract concerning disaster recovery IT infrastructure. The estimate for the order is ₹52.57 crore (inclusive of tax).

The project entails the supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of disaster recovery IT infrastructure at a data centre approved by MeitY, along with its operation and maintenance over a five-year period. The contract has been awarded by a domestic organization and is categorized as a Letter of Intent.

The order’s execution timeline extends to January 12, 2027, with RailTel having received the Letter of Intent on June 16, 2026. The company confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding organization, and the order does not involve related party transactions.
In April, RailTel revealed it had received two Letters of Awards from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) Ltd, amounting to ₹565 crore. This order is for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of integrated communication systems in railway tunnels.

Additionally, RailTel has secured a work order from the UP Policy Recruitment and Promotional Board valued at ₹44 crore. This order includes RailTel’s security-related ancillary services for recruitment exams.

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd closed at ₹323.90, increasing by ₹1.95, or 0.61%, on the BSE.
