The Nord 5 is the inaugural device in the Nord lineup featuring a chipset from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series. It incorporates the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, built on 4nm architecture, along with LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, the phone benefits from Snapdragon Elite Gaming technologies, which include hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing.
According to OnePlus, the Nord 5 can run Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) natively at 90fps, with frame interpolation allowing performance to reach up to 144fps. It also supports Call of Duty Mobile at 144fps.
The phone comes with an advanced thermal management system that features a Cryo-Velocity VC cooling structure with a heat dissipation surface area of 7,300 mm². This system utilizes graphene-based materials to distribute heat effectively, focusing on critical components such as the CPU, battery, and camera module.
In addition to the smartphones, the company is launching the OnePlus Buds 4. These new earbuds are equipped with dual drivers, dual DACs, and support for LHDC 5.0 and 3D Audio. In Game Mode, they achieve latency as low as 47ms. The Buds 4 will be offered in two color options: Zen Green and Storm Grey.
