Ola Electric Mobility Ltd announced on Monday (June 1) that its Fundraising Committee has sanctioned the initiation of a qualified institutions placement (QIP) of equity shares, establishing a floor price of ₹37.74 per share.

The company indicated that the issue commenced on June 1, 2026, subsequent to approvals from the board of directors during their meeting on October 25, 2025, along with a special resolution passed by members via postal ballot on November 27, 2025.

The Fundraising Committee has also ratified and adopted the preliminary placement document dated June 1, 2026, along with the application form intended for eligible qualified institutional buyers to receive bids and application amounts for subscribing to equity shares.

The floor price of ₹37.74 per equity share is derived from the pricing formula stipulated under SEBI ICDR Regulations. The company specified that June 1, 2026, is set as the reference date for determining the floor price.

In accordance with regulatory requirements and shareholder consent, Ola Electric may extend a discount of up to 5% on the floor price. The ultimate issue price will be finalized in consultation with the book-running lead managers. The preliminary placement document dated June 1, 2026, will be submitted to the stock exchanges and made available on the company’s website.

Earlier on Monday, Ola Electric Mobility’s retail figures for May reached a peak of 15,139 units, the highest in seven months. Although the retail numbers fell 20% compared to the previous year, they rose by 23% from the previous month’s tally of 12,323 units, according to VAHAN data. This marks the third consecutive month of growth for the automaker.

In April and May, Ola Electric recorded volumes of 27,462 units. The company has projected a volume target of 40,000 to 45,000 units for the first quarter of the financial year 2027. To meet this target, volumes must exceed 12,540 units in June.

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd shares closed at ₹39.53, down by ₹2.04, or 4.91%, on the BSE today, June 1.
