During his address to senior railway officials at the 70th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, Vaishnaw emphasized the need for innovation and noted that the indigenously designed Vande Bharat trains have showcased India’s technological prowess.
The railway minister recognized 100 railway officials for their exceptional contributions across various fields of train operations.
Vaishnaw stated that Indian Railways must elevate itself to a completely new level to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat, Viksit Railways by 2047. Congratulating the employees for their commitment, he noted that their collaborative efforts have allowed the Railways to tackle long-standing issues, enhance capacity, boost efficiency, and achieve significant infrastructure and operational milestones.
He presented a six-point resolution roadmap, which encompasses systemic reforms, technology adoption, safety emphasis, advanced training, maintenance excellence, and a transformative mindset to drive next-generation Railways.

Vaishnaw underscored the significance of engaging startups and innovators, urging railway employees to propose reform ideas and ensure that successful innovations are implemented across the network.
He drew parallels with major national reforms, asserting that Indian Railways must demonstrate similar courage and confidence in pursuing change.
“With a youthful workforce, transparent systems, and a reform-driven mindset, the Indian Railways is well-positioned to serve as a global benchmark and a crucial pillar in India’s path toward becoming a developed nation by 2047,” Vaishnaw remarked.
