Initial group of Indian pilgrims reaches Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
The initial group of Indian pilgrims touched down in Saudi Arabia on Saturday for the annual Haj pilgrimage, as reported by the Indian mission in Saudi Arabia.

“The first contingent of Indian Hajis was welcomed at Madinah Airport by Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan and Consul General @CGIJeddah Shri Fahad Suri, alongside Deputy Ministers @HajMinistry H.E. Prof. Abdulaziz A. Wazzan and H.E. Eng. Ayad Abdulrahman Rahbini, along with other senior Saudi officials,” the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia shared on X. Khan also checked the facilities at Madinah Airport and interacted with Indian community volunteers who are providing assistance to the Haj pilgrims, as noted in the statement.

The embassy extended wishes to all Indian Haj pilgrims for a “smooth, safe, and spiritually enriching Haj experience.” On Friday, Khan had visited the Indian Haj Pilgrims Office and Haj Clinic to assess the preparations for the pilgrimage, it further mentioned.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, a total of 1,75,025 pilgrims are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia for Haj this year.
