India advises its citizens to limit movement amid Israel-Iran tensions and recent strikes.
The Indian Embassy in Iran has urged Indian nationals to stay alert and limit unnecessary travel, in a statement released on Friday (June 13).

Following Israel’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, tensions in the West Asian region have heightened, raising concerns about the potential for another conflict.


“In light of the current circumstances in Iran, all Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin in Iran are advised to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary movements,” stated the Indian Embassy.

Authorities also encouraged citizens to keep up with the Embassy’s social media channels and follow safety guidelines from local officials.

Israel has conducted airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear program and military objectives, labeling it as Operation Rising Lion. This significant escalation in tensions between the two nations could ignite a new conflict in West Asia.

In response to the strikes, Delhi Airport has issued a passenger advisory, noting some disruptions in flight operations.

Air India has reported several flight cancellations due to the unfolding situation in the region. Iraq has also shut down its airspace and halted all flights and airport operations, according to AFP.
