Hero MotoCorp's Vida introduces the VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition e-scooter along with a player recognition program.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility division, Vida, announced on Wednesday the retail launch of the Vida VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition during Knights Unplugged 3.0. This special edition electric scooter draws inspiration from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), featuring the team’s signature Knight Purple and Gold colors in its design.

The electric scooter showcases a golden halftone gradient with micro-dotted patterns, harmonized with a pearl black body color. It also incorporates three accent marks symbolizing the franchise’s three championship titles. The scooter will be available at select Vida dealerships.

Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer – Vida, commented, “By merging the bold identity of the Kolkata Knight Riders with Vida’s electric mobility platform, this initiative adds a distinctive element to the brand’s engagement during the T20 season through significant cultural and sporting affiliations.”
The VX2 Plus maintains Vida’s aesthetic with sleek body panels and a contemporary silhouette. It features an LED headlamp, integrated indicators, and LED DRLs at both the front and rear. Alongside the VX2 Plus Knight Edition, fans can also receive a limited-edition KKR helmet designed in the franchise’s colors.
Venky Mysore, Chief Executive Officer, Kolkata Knight Riders, stated, “Our partnership with Vida embodies that philosophy, merging innovation in electric mobility with the spirit and identity of the KKR brand. The VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition offers a unique opportunity to enhance the Knight Riders experience beyond the cricket field.”

The company also introduced the ‘Vida Electrifying Player of the Match’ initiative. For each victory by the Kolkata Knight Riders, a KKR player will receive a customized VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition displaying the player’s name and jersey number. This award will be handed over in a post-match ceremony, with the winning player selected by the team’s management.

Vida promotes adoption through its Battery-as-a-Service program, enabling customers to subscribe to a battery rather than purchase one, thereby lowering initial ownership costs. Presently, Vida provides access to over 4,600 charging points and 700 service locations across India.

The Knight Riders brand operates four professional franchises: Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the UAE’s International League T20, and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket in the USA.

Kolkata Knight Riders have participated in four IPL finals, clinching three titles in 2012, 2014, and 2024, and finishing as runners-up in 2021. Trinbago Knight Riders have secured five Caribbean Premier League titles in 11 years, winning the 2020 tournament undefeated.

TKR Women triumphed in the inaugural Women’s Caribbean Premier League in 2022. The Knight Riders Academy identifies and nurtures cricketers from India and around the world.
