Indian weightlifter Gyaneshwari Yadav earned a silver medal in the women’s 53 kg category at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) held in Glasgow on Monday.

She successfully lifted 111 kg in her third clean and jerk attempt, securing her place on the podium. Additionally, the 22-year-old impressed with a lift of 88 kg in the snatch segment.
Onome Omolola Didih from Nigeria took gold with a record total lift of 206kg (93kg snatch + 113kg clean and jerk), while Rebeka Groulx from Canada claimed the bronze, lifting a total of 178kg.
