The Election Commission announced the extension of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) schedule for electoral rolls in nine states and three Union Territories by an additional week. According to a statement, the distribution of enumeration forms will now be extended until December 11 instead of December 4.
The draft electoral rolls are now set to be published on December 16 instead of December 9, with the final voters’ list due on February 14, 2026, instead of February 7.
The EC had initiated the SIR in these states and UTs on October 27.
