Crocs has been on a winning streak with its collaborations, and now, the footwear brand is taking it up a notch by teaming up with Casio’s G-Shock.
By joining forces with Casio’s G-Shock watch line, the result is a glow-in-the-dark version of the Echo Wave clog. This G-Shock x Crocs Echo Wave collab will release on May 27th for $200. While that price point is expensive for the usually affordable slip-on shoe, the new release comes with a G-Shock watch. While a basic style on the G-Shock website sells for $74, the wrist accessory can reach $5,800 for more complex versions.
The Echo Wave features a sail-based color scheme, but the standout element is the custom marbled ankle strap that includes a watch case for wearers to secure their watch face onto the clog.
This isn’t Crocs’ first foray into unexpected, yet exciting partnerships. Past collaborations have included everything from luxury fashion house Balenciaga to pop culture icons like Lightning McQueen, KFC, and even Justin Bieber. Each drop has pushed the boundaries of footwear design and sold out quickly. The Balenciaga collab introduced Crocs on towering heels, while the McQueen clogs went viral for their bold red color and flame graphics.
With the addition of G-Shock, a brand known for durability and bold design, fans can expect another sellout Crocs moment that’ll surely be talked about for years to come amongst shoe enthusiasts.
