CES 2026: Lenovo unveils hybrid AI strategy ranging from personal assistants to business servers.

During CES 2026, Lenovo utilized its Tech World event to outline its vision for the future of artificial intelligence: “Hybrid AI.” This approach aims to facilitate seamless interaction across devices, the cloud, and enterprise systems.

The announcements reflect Lenovo’s commitment to transitioning AI from isolated demonstrations to practical applications across consumers, businesses, and global partnerships.

Qira: Lenovo’s Personal AI Initiative

A highlight of the event was the introduction of Qira, a personal AI “super-agent” co-developed with Motorola. Qira is engineered to function across PCs, smartphones, tablets, and wearables, embodying Lenovo’s concept of “one AI across multiple devices.”

In an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18, Amar Babu, President for Asia Pacific at Lenovo, mentioned the company is gearing up to launch the solution in India.

“We will be bringing the Qira personal AI solution to India, and as soon as we obtain the necessary local approvals, it will be accessible to all our customers… that should happen in a few months,” he stated, noting that Qira will be compatible with both Motorola smartphones and Lenovo PCs.

AI PCs, New Form Factors, and Concept Devices

Lenovo also expanded its range of AI-native PCs, unveiling next-gen Aura Edition models equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.

These include the ThinkPad X1 Aura Edition, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Aura Edition, Yoga Series Aura Edition, ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition, and the Yoga 32-inch AIO i Aura Edition.

In addition to commercial offerings, Lenovo displayed several innovative proof-of-concept devices that suggest how AI could transform computing form factors.

Additionally, Project Kubit, Lenovo’s Personal AI Hub Concept, was showcased, powered by ThinkStation PGX compact AI workstations featuring NVIDIA’s Grace Blackwell Superchip.

India’s Growing Strategic Importance

Regarding manufacturing and supply-chain strategy, Amar Babu informed CNBC-TV18 that India is becoming increasingly vital to Lenovo’s global operations. “India is a very critical part of the global supply chain network… growth is in excess of 20%, which is very significant and makes it one of the fastest-growing markets in the world,” he remarked.

Motorola’s AI Wearables and FIFA Partnership

Motorola, Lenovo’s mobile division, seized the opportunity at CES to showcase its AI objectives beyond smartphones. The company introduced the Motorola AI Perceptive Companion Concept, a neck-worn, hands-free device created by Motorola’s 312 Labs. It features an onboard camera, microphone, and touch interface, providing real-time contextual awareness and is part of Project Maxwell, which may integrate into the Motorola Qira ecosystem.

Francois LaFlamme, Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at Motorola, conveyed to CNBC-TV18 that the company is assessing which concepts will reach consumers. “Our plan is to bring some of these to market… we’re still trying to figure out which ones are best for consumers and work effectively with our other devices,” he stated.

Motorola also unveiled FIFA World Cup 26™-themed smartphones, including the motorola razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition, in addition to its flagship devices: the motorola razr fold and motorola signature. LaFlamme mentioned that the partnership will feature AI capabilities tailored for live sports viewing. “We’re collaborating closely with FIFA to deliver not just a distinctive design, but an experience on the device as well… with very specific AI functionalities crafted around live sports consumption,” he asserted.

Enterprise AI and Infrastructure Focus

In addition to consumer offerings, Lenovo made a significant enterprise statement at CES.

The company revealed a new lineup of AI inferencing servers designed to bring AI closer to the data generation sources across data centers, factories, retail environments, and the edge. The new portfolio includes the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR675i, Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650i, and Lenovo ThinkEdge SE455i, supported by Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage and Lenovo Agentic AI Services.

In a conversation with CNBC-TV18, Linda Yao, VP & GM of Hybrid Cloud & AI Solutions at Lenovo, emphasized that the real transformation for enterprises is in the integration of data and intelligence. “The promise of hybrid AI is to merge the best of public AI, enterprise AI, and personal AI, ensuring intelligence can occur wherever it’s required,” she stated.

With a consistent message across personal devices, enterprise infrastructure, and global sports partnerships, Lenovo’s emphasis at CES 2026 was clear: AI is swiftly moving from concept to implementation. With Hybrid AI at its center, the company is positioning itself to scale intelligence across both consumer and enterprise environments.
