Amber Group Targets $2 Billion Revenue Goal; Invests ₹6,785 Crore in UP Expansion
Jewar (Gautam Buddha Nagar): The contract manufacturer Amber Group anticipates surpassing the $2 billion revenue threshold in the near future, supported by robust growth in its electronics, consumer durables, railways, and defence sectors, according to Executive Chairman and CEO Jasbir Singh on Saturday.

The company reported a consolidated revenue of ₹12,306.63 crore (approximately $1.3 billion) for FY26 and recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for new manufacturing facilities in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, proposing a total investment of around ₹6,785 crore.

Attendees at the event included Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav.
The projects feature a high-density interconnect (HDI) printed circuit board (PCB) and semiconductor substrate manufacturing unit through Amber’s joint venture, Ascent-K Circuit, along with an expanded manufacturing complex for air-conditioners and components.

“We are thrilled with our approach to building blocks, enhancing both horizontal and vertical expansions in terms of volume and value,” Singh commented.

While he refrained from providing a specific timeline for reaching the revenue goal, Singh mentioned that the target is very attainable. “All three divisions are experiencing growth. I believe we will achieve that number very soon,” he stated.

Ascent-K Circuit is a 70:30 joint venture with Korea Circuit focused on manufacturing HDI PCBs, flexible printed circuit boards (FPCBs), and semiconductor substrates. Additionally, Amber Enterprises plans to establish a 100-acre manufacturing site in YEIDA’s Sector 8 for room air-conditioners, copper-clad laminates (CCLs), and other essential components, enhancing localization and backward integration.

“This is a significant milestone for us. Approximately ₹40,000 crore worth of PCBs are currently imported into the country. The main objective of this venture is import substitution, leading to exports in the future,” Singh remarked.

The facility is supported by the Centre’s Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) and incentives from the Uttar Pradesh government, aiming initially to meet domestic demand from mobile phone and laptop manufacturers before branching out to export markets.

Funding for these investments will come from a mix of internal resources, debt, and foreign direct investment from Korea Circuit. Amber intends to allocate around ₹1,200-1,300 crore in capital expenditure for FY27, with a similar level expected for the following year. Most investments will focus on electronics manufacturing, while significant capital expenditure needs in its railways and consumer durables sectors have largely been fulfilled.

Even though exports currently make up only a small fraction of revenue, Amber has already penetrated markets like the United States and the Middle East. Singh described exports as a medium to long-term growth opportunity, anticipated to gain momentum over the next three to five years as domestic capacity expands.

Amber manages 33 manufacturing facilities across 11 states, with the YEIDA projects poised to become its 34th manufacturing site.

In a separate initiative, Yogi Adityanath also initiated the foundation stone laying for an integrated solar manufacturing facility by SAEL Industries in Jewar. This project, developed through SAEL Solar P6 Pvt Ltd, will comprise a 5 GW solar cell and a 5 GW solar module manufacturing complex, expected to generate around 5,000 direct and 15,000 indirect employment opportunities. Upon completion, the facility will produce high-efficiency solar cells and TOPCon modules, further enhancing India’s domestic renewable energy manufacturing landscape.
