During his visit to Hoshiarpur, AAP Punjab in-charge Sisodia addressed party members and reaffirmed that after winning 92 seats in the 2022 Assembly elections, the party is poised to exceed that number and establish a government with a “significant majority”.
Punjab’s Assembly comprises 117 members.
The former deputy chief minister of Delhi conversed with local party officials, fostering discussions in an amicable setting and reiterated the party’s confidence in winning more than 100 seats.
While assessing the progress of various government initiatives, Sisodia expressed his satisfaction with their implementation.
In response to a recent court ruling related to a Delhi excise policy case, Sisodia remarked, “truth has triumphed”.
He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of orchestrating a conspiracy against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, attributing it to his “growing popularity and transparent governance.” He dismissed the criticism from the opposition, asserting that the public is well aware of the reality on the ground and that their claims would not sway public sentiment.
He praised party workers for the support the AAP government has garnered in rural areas over the past four years, stating that the positive feedback from villagers is a testament to their dedicated efforts and grassroots outreach.
Encouraging party members to prepare for the 2027 elections, Sisodia urged them to commence preparations and further bolster the organization.
Earlier, Sisodia received a warm reception at the home of Hoshiarpur MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa, where he was greeted with flowers by a large number of party workers, including women, and honored with a ceremonial ‘siropa’.
