IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians to Start with Bowling Against KKR - View Lineups for Both Teams
Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, with MI opting to bowl first after winning the toss.

MI has handed debuts to Afghan spinner Allah Ghazanfar and West Indian batsman Sherfane Rutherford. On the other hand, captain Ajinkya Rahane has selected Cameron Green, Finn Allen, Sunil Narine, and Blessing Muzarabani as the four overseas players for KKR.

In the previous season, the Hardik Pandya-led team finished third after being defeated by runners-up Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. However, Mumbai Indians are confident that they have all the necessary components to aim for a record-extending sixth title this year.

A refreshed Rohit Sharma will be eager to find his rhythm again, while the all-round depth of Mumbai Indians positions them as a formidable contender in the tournament once more. The squad showcases a significant portion of India’s T20 World Cup-winning team, including skipper Suryakumar Yadav, Pandya, Tilak Varma, and Jasprit Bumrah.
