RailTel Secures ₹444 Crore Government Contract for KSWAN Network Enhancement

RailTel secures ₹119.5 crore contract from South Eastern Coalfields for VPN network installation in its mines.
RailTel Corporation of India Limited announced that it has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Centre For E-Governance for a project concerning the KSWAN 3.0 network.

The company indicated that the LoI is associated with a Request for Proposal (RFP) aimed at selecting a system integrator for the KSWAN 3.0 initiative.

As per the announcement, the estimated value of the order is ₹4,44,44,44,444, inclusive of taxes. This order has been granted by a domestic organization.
The contract entails system integration tasks for the KSWAN 3.0 initiative under the auspices of the Centre For E-Governance. RailTel mentioned that the project is set to be completed by March 26, 2031.

The company further noted that neither the promoter, promoter group, nor group companies have any interest in the entity that granted the order.

It also specified that this order does not fall under related party transactions.

The Letter of Intent was officially received by the company on March 27, 2026, at 16:00 hours.

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Limited closed at ₹260.00 on the NSE, declining by ₹8.80 or 3.27%, compared to the previous close of ₹260.50, which saw a decrease of ₹8.30 or 3.09%.
