Officials stated that the incident took place shortly after 2 p.m., near his residence in Jupiter Island. According to CBS 12, Martin County Fire Rescue confirmed that there were no serious injuries.
Woods’ manager at Excel Sports did not promptly respond to a text message requesting information.
This marks the third car accident for Woods, with the latest occurring in February 2021 when his SUV veered off a coastal road in Los Angeles at a high speed, resulting in significant leg and ankle injuries. Woods later mentioned that doctors contemplated amputation.
In addition, he was arrested for DUI in 2017 when South Florida police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was parked awkwardly with damage to the driver’s side. Woods later explained he had mixed painkillers improperly.
Woods has been rehabilitating to return to golf following his seventh back surgery in September. He had not yet determined whether he would compete in the Masters from April 9-12.
His latest official tournament was the British Open in 2024. Woods ruptured his Achilles tendon in March 2025, sidelining him for the entire season, followed by another back surgery in September. He did manage to participate in his indoor TGL golf league on Tuesday night.
