Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar prioritizes 1-crore job commitment, establishes December 31 deadline for government job vacancy information.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed all state government departments to submit details of job vacancies by December 31, 2025, to accelerate the process of delivering government jobs, a commitment made during his re-election campaign.

In a message on X (previously Twitter), written in Hindi, Kumar mentioned that the Bihar government has created 50 lakh jobs for the youth of the state from 2020 to 2025.

The Chief Minister has mandated that all administrative departments in Bihar, divisional commissioners, police headquarters offices, and district magistrates ensure they send vacancy-related requests to the General Administration Department by the December 31, 2025 deadline. Subsequently, the department will review the applications and send them to the appropriate appointment commissions promptly.
Complete Bihar job calendar 2026 in January

The NDA leader has also instructed all appointment commissions and selection agencies to release the comprehensive appointment calendar for January 2026.

This calendar should “clearly” outline the publication dates for advertisements, the expected timeline for conducting examinations, and the dates for the announcement of final results, among other details.

Kumar emphasized that officials must ensure that no more than one year passes between the initial advertisement publication and the final results, irrespective of the exam stages involved.

Transparent procedures, CBT assessments

Before the Bihar elections, the chief minister had pledged to provide one crore government jobs to the state’s youth over the next five years, up to 2030, if he remained in office.

He expressed his desire for the exams to be conducted in a transparent and fair manner, asserting that any irregularities would lead to accountability and swift action through expedited courts.

Kumar has also directed officials to expand the number of examination centers for the online Computer Based Test (CBT) exams to ensure they proceed smoothly and on schedule.
