Uttar Pradesh is set to launch its 15th Vande Bharat service on December 9, representing another key advancement in the state’s rapidly developing rail infrastructure. Currently, 14 Vande Bharat trains operate throughout Uttar Pradesh, connecting over 20 cities and significantly enhancing travel efficiency. These semi-high-speed services have become essential to contemporary rail travel in the state, shortening journey times, improving passenger comfort, and providing world-class amenities.

The latest addition to this network will operate between Gomtinagar and Saharanpur. Managed by the Northern Railway zone, this service aims to enhance the travel experience with its modern interiors, advanced safety features, and reduced travel times.

Officials have announced that the train will begin its service on December 9, with its maiden journey departing from Gomtinagar on December 10. Along its route, it will stop at key locations including Daliganj, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee, linking important commuter and commercial hubs.

Uttar Pradesh has been instrumental in the expansion of the Vande Bharat fleet across India. It was the first state to launch a Vande Bharat service on the Varanasi-New Delhi route, which rapidly gained popularity due to its reduced travel time and superior onboard experience.

Since then, the network has expanded significantly. Today, travelers can enjoy services such as the Rani Kamlapati-Nizamuddin Vande Bharat, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Dehradun Vande Bharat, and the Gorakhpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat, facilitating smoother inter-city connectivity.

The state’s comprehensive offerings include the Varanasi-New Delhi return service that improved capacity on the high-demand corridor, the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat, the Patna-Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat, and the Ranchi–Banaras Vande Bharat. Additional connections such as the Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat and the Meerut City-Lucknow route have enhanced access to administrative centers. The service is also available on the Udaipur-Agra Cantt Vande Bharat route, the Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat route, the Agra Cantt–Banaras route, and the most recent Gorakhpur–Patliputra Vande Bharat service.
