“Before our collaboration, people often questioned why we weren’t joining forces. Now, they’re inquiring about our partnership and how long it will last,” Uddhav Thackeray shared with PTI during an interview.
“These questions hold little significance. We have united after careful consideration and mutual understanding. From now on, we will never separate and will remain united,” he affirmed.
In what is their first political partnership in nearly twenty years, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray announced their alliance last month in preparation for the January 15 elections in Mumbai and 28 other municipal corporations across Maharashtra.
When asked whether the political Uddhav Thackeray overshadows the enthusiastic photographer version of himself, the Sena-UBT chief responded, “I am fundamentally an artist, the son of a cartoonist (Sena founder Bal Thackeray). Art can be purchased, but true artistry is intrinsic.
“One must have art in their blood. I feel at home in the world of arts,” he remarked. Uddhav reminisced that it was Raj Thackeray’s father, Shrikant Thackeray, who gifted him his first camera.
When inquired if he envisions another political figure who embodies “art in his blood,” Uddhav mentioned, “(PM) Modi ji is certainly one of them. Can you think of anyone else?”
