US Vice President JD Vance's Ohio residence targeted; suspect taken into custody.
The home of US Vice President JD Vance in Ohio experienced an attack on Monday, January 5, leading to a prompt reaction from law enforcement. One individual has been apprehended in relation to the event.

According to reports, Vance and his family were away from the residence at the time of the incident, and no injuries have been reported. Authorities are currently looking into the motive behind the attack, and additional security measures have been implemented around the property.

According to an Associated Press report, the individual was arrested shortly after midnight by Secret Service agents assigned to Vance’s residence, located east of downtown Cincinnati, as stated by agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi in an email to The Associated Press.

The Secret Service reported hearing a loud noise at the residence around midnight and discovered a person who had shattered a window with a hammer and was attempting to enter the house, as per two law enforcement officials who were not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation and requested anonymity, according to AP. The man had also damaged a Secret Service vehicle while approaching the home’s driveway, one of the officials noted.
