The Lok Sabha recently saw a heated exchange between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a debate on electoral reforms on Wednesday, December 10.

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, directly confronted the home minister, urging him to discuss the press conferences he held, claiming the BJP government was involved in “vote chori” in collaboration with the Election Commission.

“Let’s engage in a debate about my press conference. Amit Shah ji, I challenge you to discuss my three press conferences regarding ‘vote chori’,” Gandhi stated, interrupting Shah’s speech with the Speaker’s permission.

In response to Gandhi’s comments, Shah, clearly irritated, asserted that the LoP and the Opposition would not dictate the sequence of his remarks, emphasizing that he would address all questions posed by them.

“Parliament will not function according to your desires. I will determine the order of my speech. You (Rahul Gandhi) cannot dictate what I say. You need to exercise patience,” Shah shot back.
